Paul McCartney Extends a Public Message to Bob Dylan

In one of his responses, he conveyed a public note to Bob Dylan. A fan named Vonnie inquired of the Beatles icon: “Is there anyone else you would like to sing a duet with?” To which the singer replied, expressing his interest in collaborating with Dylan: “Bob Dylan keeps coming up in my mind, but I don’t know if we’ll ever get round to it.”

McCartney Looks Back on the ‘Get Back’ Tour

“In the Q&A session, McCartney also shared insights into his ‘Got Back’ tour, which commenced in April 2022 and extended into 2023. When questioned about the highlight of 2023, the musician emphatically stated:

‘The ‘Got Back’ tour!’ Another fan inquired about the song he relishes performing the most during the ‘Got Back’ tour. McCartney replied: ‘It varies. Probably ‘Hey Jude,’ just to see all those thousands of people singing in harmony with each other.'”

Paul’s Musical Adaptation of ‘It’s A Wonderful Life

McCartney has been actively involved in creating a musical adaptation of the film ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ in collaboration with Lee Hall from ‘Billy Elliot: The Musical’ and producer Bill Kenwright. With over 10 songs already composed for the musical, McCartney expressed his hope that the public would get to hear them, acknowledging the challenges of putting together a musical. In a 2019 statement, McCartney shared his initial reservations about writing a musical but found the project intriguing and fun after discussions with Hall and Kenwright. Despite not having collaborated directly, Dylan has expressed admiration for McCartney’s musical prowess in a 2007 Rolling Stone interview, highlighting his melodic talent, rhythm, instrumental skills, and vocal range. McCartney reciprocated the admiration in 1966, praising Dylan’s poetic use of words in lyrics.
