Stranger Things’ Star Addresses Rumors of Collaboration with Taylor Swift

In the midst of Taylor Swift’s whirlwind year, her every move is under scrutiny, and even those around her get caught in the spotlight. Recently, curiosity peaked among Swifties when the singer left Electric Lady Studio on Thursday night.

Despite taking a break from her Eras Tour to celebrate the holidays, it seems there might be a dash of work in Swift’s schedule. The studio holds sentimental value for the star, having visited it multiple times. Back in June, Swift’s presence there sparked speculation, especially when actor Joe Keery was spotted at the same time.

Joe Keery is widely recognized for his role in the popular Netflix series, Stranger Things, where he portrays the character Steve. Not only did he secure a significant role, but he also became a staple character throughout the seasons. Beyond his acting prowess, Keery has a musical side, performing under the stage name Djo. With Keery’s musical endeavors and Swift’s global superstardom, rumors have begun to circulate.

Joe Keery Open to Collaborating with Taylor Swift

In an attempt to put an end to the swirling speculations, Joe Keery recently opened up about the “confusing day” he spent on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Reflecting on the experience, he shared, “Well, that was a very confusing day because I was just in there with John, minding my own business, not doing anything, and then I walked out the door, and it was like 1,000 people were standing out there. People looked at me expecting Taylor, and were like, ‘Who’s this guy?’”

Despite Keery’s recognition for his role in Stranger Things, it appears that his shared studio time with Swift was just a coincidental overlap. Even as Fallon probed him multiple times about a potential collaboration, the actor remarked, “Maybe that would generate something. Maybe that experience generated something in the universe, but I don’t know.”

Regarding the future trajectory of Joe Keery’s character, Steve, in Stranger Things, he disclosed having read a few scripts for the upcoming season. However, he remained tight-lipped about divulging any specific details. “I have seen a few, yeah. I don’t think I can say anything, maybe, other than that.”
